ION BEGINNERS COURSE

ION Strength and Conditioning

Our ION Strength and Conditioning beginners course is designed to introduce new members to exercises that we use in our daily classes. The course is not designed for you to become a master at the exercises within 3 sessions but for you to have a basic understanding of the exercise, movement patterns involved and the coaching cues we use as coaches prior to joining a class environment. When learning a new exercise it is the same as learning any new skill, it takes coaching, time and plenty of practice for you to master. Once you have completed the beginners course you have the option of joining the daily ION classes or you are able to repeat the course if you feel you would like to spend more time in a small group environment.

The content of the ION Strength and Conditioning Beginners Course is:

FUNDAMENTALS 1 (MONDAY 7.30PM)

Introduction to CrossFit

ION Warm Up

Squats (Plate Squat, Air, Squat, Front Squat, Back Squat, OH Squat)

Presses  (Strict Press & Push Press)

Thrusters

ION Workout of the Day

FUNDAMENTALS 2 (WEDNESDAY 7.30PM)

ION Warm Up
